About Us

Welcome to the Value Lifewebsite, where we aim to inform the public about the dangers of Gun & Knife crime. In school, all children have a fear of Gun & Knife crime. We are attempting to prevent Gun and Knife crime by teaching students to value their lives and others around them.

According to the British Crime Survey (BCS), overall violent crime has decreased by 41% since a peak in 1995. People give all sorts of reasons why they carry knives, including protecting themselves but a knife is not a weapon of defence; it’s a weapon of offence. Nottingham is a city that has struggled with a guns label after a number of killings in 2004, including schoolgirl Danielle Beccan – but its police chiefs say public perception is at odds with reality because the city witnesses far fewer incidents per resident than only marginally above the national average – and half the rate of Manchester and London.

We plan on educating young people about the implications of becoming involved in carrying weapons. Knife and Gun Crime and other issues, such as using Drugs, Alcohol and being influenced by Street Gangs. Informing Youths of how the foregoing areas may lead to a ‘life of crime’ and what a ‘Criminal Record’ means in career and travel terms and dangers and life altering events that can occur through carrying weapons that can so often result in serious injury or loss of life!

Visit the ‘Get Involved’ page to find out more about our campaign and how YOU can join in, and help London and beyond to start valuing they’re lives!
